Jury finds Martin MacNeill guilty of murder, obstruction of justice

PROVO — Family and friends of Michele MacNeill let out a cry as Martin MacNeill was found guilty of murder and obstruction of justice for the death of Michele in April 2007.

Michele’s daughters, Alexis Somers and Rachel MacNeill, cried and hugged as the jury was polled; all eight jurors said their verdict was guilty on each count.

“We are so happy he can’t hurt anyone else,” Somers said. “That courtroom was full of people who loved my mom. I can’t believe this finally happened, we are so grateful.”

    Congratulations on the verdict. But I do not understand how or why a convicted murderer can be free on any amount of bail???
